Psalm 19:1 ESV says “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims His handiwork.
The heavens declare
The glory of the Lord
The scriptures show
Like stars aglow
Power from afar
Behold the maker
Who knows who we are
A big part of the beauty of the stars lies in their distance, we see them as a whole and are amazed but the more we zoom in, the more we see the intricate design.
Isn’t the scripture the same? There is a certain awe of the Bible as a whole while the true beauty of the scripture comes from looking closely.
Every star like words in a verse, and every constellation like stories adding to the whole picture.
Every story shines its own unique radiance and yet needs the whole picture to feel complete.
The vast expanse of night can take our breath away because no two square inches looks the same, even if we can’t pinpoint the differences.
When you examine a star with the proper equipment (a telescope) every element shows diverse hues and outlines.
When you examine the scripture with the proper instrument, (The Holy Spirit) every verse and line carries new meanings and shows new sides of God unseen in the past.
Just like many stars are hidden without a telescope, so are many truths without the Holy Spirit.
Another parallel we can draw is that both means of focus were given later then mankind’s focus on these interesting libraries
Just as unnatural light produced by human hands and minds obscures and hides the stars. So do the wisdom and worldly lives of men obscure and hide the truths of the word of God!
How infinite are the heavens with planets and stars but also millions of galaxies as big as our own?
How infinite are the spiritual blessings found in the scriptures?
I guess you could say … This was a match made in heaven?
Let this be a reminder to all of us to forsake the light of this world for the wisdom of Christ! May we all lean deeply into the countless worlds revealed by the Spirit in the word!

I love the analogies here. They are so strong and give me a deeper understanding. Thank you so much for this.
